About Lacey
Lacey Scott - BA, BAHS
(AT), CAT(C), RMT
I
am a Certified Athletic Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist, and Personal
Trainer.
To
become a Certified Athletic Therapist, I have completed a degree in Biology and
Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and a degree in Bachelor of Applied
Health Science in Athletic Therapy from the Sheridan Institute of Technology
and Advanced Learning. This allowed me to go on and complete the Athletic Therapy
certification exams with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. I then
attended the Ontario College of Health and Technology for a diploma in Massage
Therapy in 2010 and completed my board exams to become a Registered Massage
Therapist in September 2011.
My
passion for sport and activity led me to the field of athletic therapy, where I
felt helping people become pain free and getting them back to their activity
was very important and purposeful– whether it is for sport, work or everyday
life. Massage therapy is a great complement to my athletic therapy practice, to
give me more tools to help individuals become more mobile, relaxed and able to
compete in their sport or return to activity as soon as possible. I also have a
strong interest in sports strength and conditioning.
Whether
I am working at the clinic with athletic therapy or massage therapy, out at a
school doing taping seminars or boot camps or spending time on the field
covering sporting events I hope to make a positive difference in each individual’s
lives.
I
was born and raised in Guelph ON, and continue to be an active part of my
community.
